Fader's Unique
(3.00)
Light, golden cavendish skillfully blended with our black vanilla cavendish. Some call it coconut - some call it chocolate... you'll call it great.

The Virginia has some grass and citrus. The black cavendish is vanilla sweet. The gold cavendish is lightly toasty and has a minor honey note. The vanilla topping is more obvious than the caramel, and they hide much of the tobaccos. No nic-hit to speak of. Won't bite or get harsh. Burns at a moderate pace, cool, clean and smooth. Requires a few relights and leaves some moisture in the bowl. Has a very pleasant after taste. You know this as 1-Q.

As covered by another reviewer, this IS Lane 1Q (Uni as in 1, que, well you get it), which is supposedly a more premium version of the same blend which is Captain Black Royal (Blue). See reviews of both of those blends, there are many.
This is an outstanding smoke as long as you dry it out a little first. If you smoke it straight out of the bag you will only get sweetness that seems to go right up your nose, and zero tobacco flavor. When allowed to "air out" overnight at the very minimum, spread out on some paper plates (jar it after drying) you'll appreciate all the nuances of this blend, and the flavor is complex and seems to change throughout the bowl. Occasionally you get a nice caramel, as well as a definite taste of Virginia.
This one sort of restored my like of aromatics, which I had all but written off after one too many disappointments from the Fader's line. Then again, they didn't actually "blend" this one. The young guy at the Towson store told me that only about half of their house blends are actually their own creation.

Your never really quite sure what the flavor is or what the smell is. It seems differint everytime you smoke it and seems to change with every puff. Very enjoyable, well smoking, and high quality. I was not too impressed since it took 2 years to smoke through all of this, I found other aromatics that were way better and more flavorful. This is sort of a corss-over between aromatic and light english tobacco.

This is actually 1Q by Lane. It is a great, and extremely popular aromatic worldwide, but if you want to read more extensive reviews, see 1Q.

It is a good blend. I have smoked it on and off for years. It's not overpowering in anyway. Not my favorite blend but worth a try.
