I’ve never had the cocktail after which this blend is named, but I looked it up. The drink has bourbon, cranberry, lime, and grenadine. I definitely smell the bourbon casing, and some cherry; but that is in the bag. We’ll see about the smoke. I enjoyed this one. The tobacco burned nicely, with no problems. Both the bourbon and the cherry came through nicely into the smoke. If I puffed too hard the smoke did get a little acrid, but that was easily controlled by slowing back down. I don’t think I’d be yearning for this type of smoke often, but for what this is going for, it isn’t bad.

The tin note (bag note) is of sweet, tobacco-free alcoholic cocktail (hangover, anyone?)... I really enjoy the bag note. A dry hit from the bowl yields the same. Once alight, I find that it does not taste as it smells, but rather of either a combination of caramel & vanilla (if I smoke it slowly), or of warm antifreeze (if I smoke it too fast). Something tells me there's a good dose of PG, OE and possibly DDT in here (disclaimer: kidding about the DDT, I hope). Strangely, my mouth seems to develop a coating or film over the course of a couple bowls and my tongue starts to feel a little warm.
It's funny what a little comtemplation on what exactly you're smoking can do. I started off liking Kentucky Blizzard alright until I began to really think about it. Alas, a fascinating bag note just ain't enough. This blizzard done blew itself out.

Unlit aroma is great fortelling a delicious experience. Once lit it is hellfire and brimstone. Possibly the worst biting tobacco I have tried. DO NOT SMOKE THIS. If you run across this blend at a shop, sample the tin note and move along.
