When Ilsted Dark Fired plug is not as common a more or less square cube tobacco, but rather a 2cm wide, elongated bars. Even when opening the pouch meet a part of a distinctive sweet and spicy scent. The Dark Fired plug is of solid consistency and kept relatively moist, so he can cut well with a pocket knife.
As always, I've scratched the thin-cut slices. The tobacco fall very light and the pipe can be great stuff. Was used my Moritz Dublin Bamboo. The DP could be easily set on fire. The first trains lighting the pipe, I felt as a rather bitter and biting. This impression is wrong but as soon as the tobacco burned properly, the complete opposite. The palate was a creamy, sweet and spicy, but also in the English sense of fruity flavor wide, the owner of the smokiness of the dark fired Kentucky is accompanied. In the progressive course of smoking is gaining the upper hand of Kentucky, making the taste a little bitter, but never unpleasant. The whole is accompanied by a fair amount of nicotine, making the smoking pleasure but saturates very light smokers and more inadequate.
The Dark Fired plug burns wonderfully slow, dry and stable, and really only leaves white ash and a cool tune. Repeated kindling and long smoke breaks, the DP will not be offended. As already mentioned, the tobacco is certainly not suitable for beginners and light smokers, nor for lovers of "traditional" fruit aroma, but it is both too strong and the other, the dark fired Kentucky too dominant. For me, however, the Ilsted Dark Fired plug is the tobacco of the year. It has everything I expect from a good tobacco. Great looking, brilliant fire, interesting and extremely complex flavor . No tobacco for the morning hours, no tobacco for a quick smoke, but a wonderful tobacco for enjoyment.
Chapeau Mr. Kopp!
