B&B Tobacconists, llc Beck's Rasputin's Revenge
(2.00)
A couple of Virginias, Latakia, a smattering of burley, and Izmir make this a pipester's best friend. Smooth and tasty. This is an all day smoke for those who love Latakia blends.

The smoky, woody, earthy, musty sweet Cyprian Latakia is the lead component. The grassy, citrusy, lightly dark fruity and woody, earthy Virginias play a support role. The woody, earthy, floral, spicy, sharp, very sour and dry Izmir competes with the Virginias for attention. The nutty, woody, earthy, lightly molasses sweet burley is always noticeable as a condiment. The strength is a couple of steps short of the medium mark, while the taste firmly sits on that level. The nic-hit is a rung past the center of mild to medium. Won’t bite or get harsh, but has a lot of roughness. Burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a thinly sweet and rather savory, sour consistent flavor that translates to the lightly lingering, bitter campfire after taste. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. The room note is pungent. Not an all day smoke. Two and a half stars.
