Organic Smoke Inc. Kentucky Select Organic
(3.50)
Certified Organic Pipe Tobacco. Made with certified
organic Virginia tobacco, with extracts of Agave,
Prune, and Vanilla. Certified organic by the NCCIA.
Notes: Kentucky Select tobaccos are currently the sole
product offered by Sun Butler's company, Organic
Smoke Inc. Previously, OS produced the tobacco for
the short-lived but extremely popular Organic Pipe
Dreams by Cornell and Diehl. Due to the expense and
time involved in the newest organic certification
laws, OPD was discontinued. As of June 2010, Organic Smoke Inc. is solely focused on achieving a wide distribution base for its Kentucky Select line of tobaccos.

Sun Butler at Organic Smoke Inc. is the only producer that I know of who is legitimately fighting the good fight. He produces Virgina tobacco without using any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Kentucky Select Organic is not cased or enhanced with anything other than organic extracts.
Yes, KSO is just Virginia. But this tobacco is excellent, and it is the baseline for all of the tobaccos that I sample or use.
Smells excellent in the pouch. Perfect moisture and feel. Lights easily. Taste is lightly sweet, with a bold Virgina center. Can smoke hot if you are a puffer like me, but only needs a small adjustment in puffing to get cool. Taste is great all the way to the bottom of the bowl. KSO is strong enough to knock you back a bit if you smoke too much too fast. No goops or headaches.
This is not a rolling tobacco, it's a pipe tobacco all the way. Can be used to blend as well.
Bravo to Organic Smoke Inc for fighting the good fight!
10 stars.
*And no, I don't work for Organic Smoke Inc. 😉

I am long time smoker of hand rolled cigarettes. I have tried everything from American Spirit to Zig Zag. This particular tobacco is far superior to anything else that i have used to roll cigarettes. It is mellow, light yet strong, and organic on top of it all. Compared to the harsh, scratchy American Spirit organic, this is a much better choice for rolling. I would recommend this to anyone that rolls their own.

This is referring to the Kentucky Select Organic tobacco.
I use an injection machine to roll my own cigarettes. I love the mild nature of this tobacco, but I have noticed it causes coughing where the golden harvest natural does not.
There seems to be something in it to irritate an inhaler (as opposed to a pipe puffer)
It could possibly be the Agave ? I know agave is a mucilagenous type plant like aloe but sweet.. the lung may not be very happy dealing with this sort of substance. I plan to contact the growers and find out what sort of testing they do to determine what to cure tobacco with.

would be hard for me to categorize this blend as aromatic, since there's just a hint of neutral organic toppings (agave, vanilla and prune).
can be easily smoked in cigarettes just as well, due to the cut and moisture content. no noticeable bite and a nice mellow aftertaste.
very pleasant room note.
the quality of the tobacco is fantastic. this is my favorite base for most of my blends.
