This blend is easy to light and to keep lit, as the ribbon cut fits the light flavoring described as cocoa and vanilla. The cavendish and sweet cocoa remain on the forefront. I found the vanilla flavoring rather muted at the opening, but more noticeable later on. Easy for some to confuse the flavor or aroma with licorice, but is mostly sweet cavendish flavored with cocoa and vanilla. Nice room note, from what I could tell while smoking. This sweetness and mild flavor remain present throughout the bowl, but be warned: if not sipped calmly and judiciously at the beginning, it can bite the tip of your tongue. After the initial onslaught of the casing burns off, this potential tonguebite problem begins to fade rapidly.
This is a quiet flavorful smoke that does not require any undue amount of attention, except for the aforementioned suggestion to sip it slowly, particularly at the beginning. It is "mild to medium" from beginning to end. An unobtrusive and relaxed smoke that allows you to go about your business and does not leave you with a blanket tongue after a full bowl. I found it to be a good change of pace, and I will be ordering more of this blend.

Purchased but one ounce from Milan to meet a minimum purchase for free shipping. Very pleased. Whilst a casing is detected, it is light. In fact the tobacco was at a perfect moisture point, where it is just ever so slightly so. Perfect for packing, it burns very well, white ash way down, very few re-lights if treated with due attention. The room note is very pleasant because it's light. There is a real sense of fine tobacco, not just a mask. No heavy-handed cosmetic perfume, thank goodness. What started out as a "throw-away". may by happenstance become a go-to! Thank you for a refreshing and thoughtfully-made mixture! I often go with Lane 1Q as a break from my beloved Peterson Old Dublin or Balkan Sobranie substitutes, and find the positive attention gratifying. But this may be an equal or better go-to as slightly drier and more mature.
I write this on General and President and Brother George Washington's birthday, so today is a day reserved for genuine American Virginia in the bowl!
