As I did the request for this tobacco, I'll also do the first review, but it may also have limited appeal as this tobacco is from a Dutch company and might not be widely available. The tin description of ingredients is pretty accurate: you'll see a traditional mixture with some, but not al lot, of rubbed out flake. The importance of these flakes lies in the sweetness that they add to this blend, as can be observed when you top off your pipe with them. This is obviously a very high quality blend which is reflected in its nuttiness and taste of well matured tobacco's and its premium price of €12.50 for a 50 gramm tin. Although with only about 10% of Latakia in it, this is still very noticeable and really integrates extremely well with the rest of the tobacco's Basically, it is a fine Virginia blend spiced up with Latakia and those "several varieties of English flake" that may contain Burley, Kentucky and or Perique as well. A beautiful full and spicy smoke that is highly recommended! Rob

Tinnote: far too sweet IMO but the tobacco looks very nice and is not sticky to the touch, good!
First light: the sweetness of the tinnote is also very present in the taste and smell, not good. This appears to me as a not natural tobacco sweetness but a casing.
After second light I judge that the quality of the tobacco is high but the persisting sweetness distracts me.This seems to me to be more of an aromatic then a classic english blend. I don't like aromatics, I will not buy this again.
This test was performed after the tin had been openend for 3 months because initially I disliked it so much that I put this in my "not-box'. Since a few weeks I have been giving all the 'notboxers' a second chance, and while the sweetness has largely gone, too much of it remains for me to like it.
In short: Recommended for aromatic lovers.
