This is a good, full English blend with some interesting flavors. It was gifted to be by a good friend. Obviously a bulk blend, it came in a plastic bag. It had a pretty earthy aroma in the bag, and the moisture content was just right. The first light brings about a very smokey, spicy taste. It is almost overpowering, especially first thing in the morning (I guess that's why they call it Midnight Stroll). As the bowl progresses, it really opens up and blossoms. Those dark VA's are sweet, earthy, and have great staying power in this blend. They take on earthy notes as well as notes of dark fruit. However, the Perique seems to play the major role of this blend with its peppery sweetness coming through on every puff. The Latakia plays a lesser role but adds a nice smokey backbone; it's just enough to allow it to be called an English blend. The orientals confuse me, as I can't really figure out what they are, but they add an almost cinnamon-like spice to the mix that really isn't sweet or bitter. I suppose they just play off of the Perique a bit more than normal. The nicotine content was definitely present and I always end up very relaxed smoking this blend. I compare it to Dunhill Nightcap in that aspect. I recommend this to anyone looking for a heavier English blend with a lot of character. Even though I prefer to start my day with blends like this, I can see where it would be the perfect end to a long day. If you can still find it, give it a shot.
