It's a little bitter, a little sweet, Very smooth. When comparing Steve Books blends to most tobaccos I've smoked I am usually left feeling that they are a cut above everything I've been exposed to. If there is someone else that can match his exellent blends I havent found them. Boar's head is no exception. It is outstanding.

This is a one of a kind blend - that almost belies description. There is a sweet and smokey component. A butteriness from the Turkish and almost a sourdough component that is absolutely wonderful.
This the kind of tobacco I enjoy smoking during the Autumn months as the weather turns crisp and cold. At some points during the smoke I even pick up a brown sugar component that is elusive - yet makes it's prescence know throughout the bowl.
Boar's Head smokes extremely well and is so nuanced that I get a little something different every time I smoke it. Extremely smooth with a little pepper in the nose.
A very unique English and highly recommended.

This is another OLD TIMEY blend from Rich's. If you like fresh baked Sourdough bread or Sweet and Sour chicken this is for you. A perfect interplay of sweet/sour/smokey flavors that go back and forth throughout the smoke. It is yeasty, meaty, and rich. I have found no other tobacco (as of yet) to compare it to. I think though, if you like Beverwyck from Russ Oulette this will be right up your alley. No bite and not complex. It is a comforting and a good compamion for watching TV. 3 of 4 American English stars.
