Torben Dansk Virginia Mysore Ready Rubbed Flake
(2.60)
Plain golden Virginia without any flavouring. According to manufacturer this Virginia contains 25% sugar. This tobacco is intended as a base for making blends, but it is very delicious when smoked plain off the tin without any blending.
Notes: Special Blending Series.

Virginia Mysore Ready Rubbed Flake is pure Virginia smoke with a bit of extra sweetness. However, the sweetness goes away very quickly and the tobacco is burning pretty hot. It might be that my batch got overdried, but still, I don't think I'll be trying this particular bland again.

Although mainly a blending tobacco, it was recommended to me as a naturally very sweet Virginia. I've been through one and a half tin of this by now. Everything said about it is accurate. It is very well ready rubbed and easy to pack. The natural content of sugars is really high, but being a blending tobacco is a bit one dimensional. One shouldn't expect many nuances here, more an honest VA to puff away during the day. Didn't get any tongue bite, but then again I smoke VAs all the time.

A nice tobacco, wonderful smell of wild honey...burns cool, no tongue bite, consistent flavor till the end. Real smoking pleasure. Can be an all day smoke. Highly recommended.

This is a very simple Virginia. I was hoping it would have more sweetness, but it is rather flat and boring. I think it is a good blending tobacco to take some of the spice out of heavy tobaccos.

tin note: sweet hay, maple syrup
Notes: Sweet breads (cookie?), molases/malt, straw, hay
Needs some relights, same from start to finish.
Tried mixing it with Mac Baren Original Choice and it was bad. I also tried it with Hal o Wynd And that was ok.
Wife tolerates.
