Boswell Pipes & Tobacco Vanilla Cream
(2.78)
This blend has #1 graded American AAA Burley, Gold Cavendish and Virginia tobaccos with a mild vanilla casing. A mild smoke, and has a wonderful aroma. Very popular if you like vanilla, but not too strong. One of J.M. Boswell's blends that has been selling well for over 30 years.

This is a good one for me--had a good vanilla taste but not overpowering. No bite and very smooth all day smoke. A nice change from Boswell's Best. Not so harsh on the back of the throat that Boswell's Best seems to leave after smoking every day. I liked it. Nice & mellow satisfaction .

Sweet - on the milder side, vanilla. Smooth, cool smoke. Lovely dessert smoke. Tastes a little toasty. Some caramel notes. Big puffs of white smoke. Stayed easily lit. It isn't in my opinion Boswell's best aromatic offering, but it isn't bad either. Their tobacco is always quality no matter what!

It might be that I just don't like burley based aromatics, but I couldn't really detect much of the vanilla flavor in this one. It has plenty of burley flavor but the vanilla is severely lacking. Does smoke fairly cool and dry, I smoked an entire bowl on just 1 light.

I quite liked this smoke for what it was. It was fairly mild and the vanilla casing definitely doesn't take over. It did have some taste though, but it doesn't exactly hit you in the face. It was a pleasurable smoke and I cannot complain about the price that's for sure. As with most Boswell tobaccos, the room note is great.

Another good one from Bosewells!
Nothing special here, aside from it being supremely ungifted. I hear the term "all day smoke" tossed around quite often here, but this just may be it. This is hard to get sick of because of how mild it is, yet it does deliver good tobacco flavors when you sit and look for them. No aftertaste that will cloy everything you eat or drink either.
Flavor is light vanilla ontop of a decent burley/VA/cav mix. The tobacco is actually in harmony with the casing rather than caged by it(however mild they may be). Smokes like any other Bosewell; cool, dry, sweet and very little nicotine. May keep a bit better than the other blends as this one is much less cased.

If you like Boswell in general, then you will like their Vanilla Cream. There is a bit more creaminess and custard forward flavors compared to Boswell's Best. In comparing the two, Vanilla Cream doesn't burn quite as hot but is a bit more single note. It lacks the complexity of Boswell's Best but there are occasions where I prefer one or the other.
You can't really go wrong here if you're looking for a vanilla aromatic. It won't blow your mind but it's pleasant all the way to the bottom.

This is the only Boswell blend that I can truly say I heartily disliked! It is bland, bland, BLAND! If you want a great vanilla blend, try their Paradise. I bought this blend after having tried both Chocolate Cream and Raspberry Cream, both of which are top notch aromatics. But this was like sawdust with a slight touch of vanilla. Don't waste your time or money. Try one of their dozen other great aromatic blends.

Not nearly enough vanilla for me in the aroma or the taste. Good for those who want a relatively mild tobacco with just the slightest hint of vanilla on the palate and nose.

It's difficult to write a review on a Vanilla flavored tobacco because of its status as a staple in the pipe tobacco world.
With that being said, either you like Vanilla pipe tobaccos or you do not. The best you can do when writing up a review on a blend like Vanilla Creame is to comment on the quality of the blend as a whole, and not on how you view the style of blend.
The tin aroma, or bag aroma I suppose, is delicious with Vanilla Creame. If you leave the bag open for a few minutes, it fills the room with a warm sugary vanilla note that is just wonderful.
Upon lighting this tobacco, you get a pleasant vanilla flavoring that doesn't mask the quality tobacco Boswells always uses. About half-way down the bowl, the Vanilla casing is surprisingly still hanging around, while it's not as strong as the beginning of the smoke. The casing pretty much falls off by the very end of the bowl, with the a toasted tobacco flavor coming through while still maintaining a light body.
All in all, this is another quality blend from Boswells. If you're a fan of that classic vanilla-cased tobacco, this is the blend from you. The room note is amazing too, so you should be well-received by even the nonsmokers around you. It's not my favorite blend from Boswells but it's definitely one I would recommend if it suits your taste.

Like all the Boswell tobaccos I have tried this is quality tobacco that packs well and burns easily. The moisture content is fine. My only concern really is that it is so mild that it has almost no flavor for my tastes. I burn a hot pipe and so I enjoy the Boswell tobaccos because they have no bite.
If you have a sensitive tongue I recommened this tobacco but if you are looking for flavor then this would be a waste of your time. I would recommend several other Boswells in place of this.
