Dunhill - A-3000.
Of all the suppliers, I think 4noggins package their loose blends the best! They always arrive with it looking as though the pouch was sealed AFTER any excess air has been squeezed out, bravo!!
The blend isn't exactly coarse, as per the description. There's a few larger pieces, but the majority of the blend's medium ribbons. Because of the correct packaging the blend hasn't dried out any. The aroma from the pouch is clearly aromatic, being sweet and slightly sharp. Of course, it's jet black!
It lights easily, giving plumes of fragrant smoke; I wouldn't smoke this in a nose warmer as your eyes could sting like mad from the smoke! The initial flavour's very sweet and caramel-like. This stays present throughout a bowl, and is the leading flavour. Surprisingly for a Black Cav', sticky vanilla isn't the boss. About a quarter of the way through a bowl some alcohol-piquancy joins in, adding more character to the taste. The burn from it's good, leaving a pure white ash, giving an ice-cold smoke.
Nicotine: very mild. Room-note: lots of smoke but lovely!
This would be a great blender, but it's good alone. Recommended:
Three stars.

Dunhill A30000 Black Cavendish. This is good and I've smoked it as a stand alone for years. Just not all the time. It's loaded with sugar, but doesn't taste TOO sweet. Just right with the carateristics of maduro.
It is a super enhancement cutter for just about any blend; as well as an excellent mellowing agent for strong flakes, plugs and twists. If you need a sweet cutter, use a half to half. It's excellent. 2/3 to a brown twist is very excellent; especially with the addition of straight Cyprian Latakia, and or, oriental. If you try this, mash within your fingers until there is a fluff only. Age this in an effectively sealable glass jar for at least one year in a constant 55 degrees, if you can swing that. This makes for an excellent STRONG smoking mixture that is sweetly satisfying. This will cellar for many years and of course will get better with age.
Hint from an old Scottish piper: 1/3 Brown Irish X with 2/3 A-30000 cellared for 1 to 2 years will yield a magically wonderful smoke. It's my mix, but pass it on. I like sharing.

Pound for pound the best cavendish money can buy. Been smoking it for over 30 years. Love the dark chocolate notes and the vanilla aroma. We

Looks, smells and tastes exactly like Lane's BCA. Considering that Lane is the U.S. distributor for Dunhill bulks, it doesn't come as any surprise.
