This classic is not easy to find as it has been out of production for many moons... I popped a 20 year old four ounce tall boy tin back in 2007 and discovered a somewhat coarse cut conglomeration of all kinds of wonderful stuff (smoky Latakia, a good portion of spicy Orientals and deeply aged Virginia that made me a drooler. Many quality blends mellow out and become quite tasty with age; H. Simmons Navy blend delivered as advertised with a deep and rich flavor that would be hard to beat.I wound up smoking this blend very slowly in order to savor the raisin/fig type of flavor. I remember having to leave the room for awhile after smoking half of my first bowl. I came back to a room still filled with a heavenly tobacco aroma.
