This tobacco must be made by Altadis. The pouch comes as being unsealed and not even wrapped, which says a lot about the preservatives that must be present in that tobacco.
If this is the new standard for a modern Engllish, then I will stay away from it.
The smell from the pouch is good lots of "tobaccoey" goodness. It smells like a humidor. The smoke is pleasant, still on the sweeter side of an english mix. It has a peppery smokey flavour. It it bites hard if you aren't careful.
A blend wherein a sickly-sweet casing clashes horribly with a substantial latakian presence. I like latakia once in a while, and I like the occasional aromatic as well, but this stuff is just nasty. It tastes like a burning pop-tart factory. Strangely, the room note is fabulous, delivering "dark chocolate and malt vanilla notes" just as promised on the pouch. Oh well.
