Dan Tobacco Sweet Mango
(1.50)
Selected Maryland, Virginia and burley tobaccos are prepared separately and improved. The especially broad texture of the wild cut takes up the natural flavour of the exotic mango fruit particularly well and perfects the mild, fresh fruity taste. Mixed cut.

Sweet Mango, I am told, is actually a Dan Tobacco top aromatic seller on the European market. i can understand why. The casing was heavy but very natural. It actually complimented the Virginia while keeping the Cavendish from being more natural regarding tobacco taste. So, I was kind of 50/50 with this one. I still have a few tins that are now at least 10-12 years old and am sometimes tempted to see if the Mango flavor has given way to a more natural smoke. But then, I look back over my notes and put the tin back in the cellar.

Overly sweet, this is the typical blend in which you can't taste anything else than the topping. It doesn't bite the tongue, however, and that's the only good point it scores. If you like a candy into your pipe sometimes, you can give this a try.
