The Virginia is lightly grassy with some tart and tangy citrus as the base of the blend. The burleys are nutty, woody, and earthy with a little molasses in a strong support role. The unsweetened black cavendish provides some sugary smoothness in the background. The tobaccos are sublimated by the rich peach and creme toppings. The creme works to keep the peach toned to a mild to medium level, so it’s not overwhelming as some peach blends can be. The strength is a step short of the center of mild to medium, while the taste is a slot past that center. Has a mild nic-hit. May need a slight dry time, though I didn’t do that. Has no dull, rough or harsh spots, and won’t bite. Burns at a moderate pace, and requires only a few relights. The mostly consistent, mildly rich flavor is cool, clean, very smooth and creamy from start to finish. Only in the last quarter of the bowl does it weaken, and only in a minor way. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, but no goop. Has a short lived, very pleasant after taste and room note. An easy going all day smoke where the fruit doesn’t wear you out.

Peter Stokkebye - Peaches & Cream (No.303).

I'm quite 'faddy' with food and peach fits the bill this week, I can't get enough! So, to go hand in hand, I dug this out of my cellar!

It's a fairly coarse ribbon, appearing heaviest with Black Cavendish. The moisture's a touch high, so mine had a short airing prior to smoking, and the pouch smells potently aromatic.

It may be because of my peach fad at the mo', but I love the flavour! The peach leads, but the smoke's rounded by the cream. What formerly deterred me from peachy aro's was the sharpness, and over-false taste, that I found from it as a casing. But this blend doesn't have those traits: the peach tastes vibrant, refreshing, and honest, without being bitter, or acidulated. The cream, as I said, rounds the flavour, becoming more flavoursome after a third; until then the peach dominates the smoke a little more. The topping, although not harsh, is formidable enough to mask a lot of the tobacco flavours. The burn meets my expectations of a good blend, and it hasn't got a bite in it.

Nicotine: mild. Room-note: lovely.

The best peach aromatic I've had:

Highly recommended.

In my search for a peach blend, this is the one above all others that I have tried. You can actually Taste....Yes...I said TASTE the peach! Not only does it smell great in the pouch but the flavor is right there on this one. It's a bit wet at first, but an hour on the drying table and she smokes very well with few relights. This one gets a thumbs up from me!

It reminds me of the fountain peach drink you could get at donut shops about 20 years ago. You knew back then you were drinking something that tasted like peaches, but you knew it wasn't peach at all and I guess one could care less because it was cheap and refreshing. I treat this the same, you know your inhaling a scientists rendering of peach, but heck it tastes pretty good and smells even better but who cares? It's a bit overpowering for me, I could smell it in the box before I bent down to pick it up off the porch after the postman dropped off my order. It's a bit much for me to smoke on its own, and quite frankly it overpowers any mixture I blend to incorporate it into. It will ghost a briar and render a new filter gurgly and black after each session. The room note is divine, and I certainly received enough compliments on the aroma from passersby, but alas I don't smoke a pipe for those reasons alone.

I bought an ounce of this from my Local B&M shop. I have a personal guest to find a decent peach aromatic. Until now, I have enjoyed Boswells peach as my first choice in this flavor. But this blend surpassed Boswells and I have since purchased an 8 ounce package of this to cure my peach cravings. You have to dry this for about an hour before lighting and you have to smoke it "S L O W" or it will disappoint you. As with all aromatics, Keep it cool in the bowl and slow down and you will taste the peach and a smile will come to your face! Enjoy.

I originally ordered this blend thinking that I would absolutely despise it. I was wrong. Upon opening the pouch you are greeted by the delightful aroma of fresh, ripe peaches. The moisture content was just right; not too sticky and not too dry. Once the original char-light was complete the stage was set for this blend to perform its magic. It took to a light easily and produced voluminous billows of peach infused smoke. Not another light was needed. The taste was spot-on peach, not some chemical concoction.

The tobacco didn't bite once - even when I tried to make it bite. The burn was even and moderate, with the Cavendish supplying some sugar to the mix. It burned to the bottom of the bowl, clean and cool, leaving a light grey ash and almost no moisture.

Perhaps I made the mistake of comparing this to Ole Shenandoah Fuzzy Schnapps when I tried it but I just didn't care for this blend. The base tobacco is fine and burns well. The casing was the disappointment. The peach had a harshness to it that ruined the smoke and it left an unpleasant aftertaste. Room note was pleasant, I wish the taste had matched it

I love peaches, and with Spring time being upon us, I was craving something to satiate my craving for the fuzzy little things. This blend nails it. I wasn't expecting much from a bulk, but then again, it IS a Stokkebye blend. It arrived a little too moist for my liking (I prefer drier tobacco anyway), so I let it sit out for 3 or 4 hours (about an hour per ounce). I packed my first bowl in a cob, and I was blown away by the flavor! You can taste the peach very prominently, but you can also taste the tobacco. It remains consistent throughout the bowl, and I could smoke this all day long without getting tired. I keep a pouch on me at all times now, and I'll be ordering more. No bite, burns cool, doesn't gunk up a pipe, and tastes amazing. If you don't like peaches and tobacco (who doesn't?), then move along!

I bought 25 grams of this loose to break in a new pipe. I have smoked a few aromatics but none that I have really thought 'ah ha! that is the one for me!'. Upon purchasing, this stuff looks like a sticky mass of black leaf and smells very peachy. I dried it out for about an hour before loading the pipe with a half bowl.

Being so sticky it took a while to get going and after the charring light it only had to be relit once (I would put this down to the new pipe). The smoke was not a pleasant one to me. Very sweet at first then very sour and almost acidic. It had a nice aroma and I could smell the cream and taste a little coconut but the peach taste dominated and I found the smell to be a bit rank to my nose.

Not to be deterred I tried it in a cob and it was the same. There was a little bite to it but nothing too serious. It also kept the flavour right throughout the bowl leaving a little dottle and a lot of moisture. If you love peach you will love this. I dont like peaches so this was never going to win. However, I have mixed this with a little black cherry and cherry and vanilla and whilst the taste is still there, it is tempered by the other baccys.

Not one I will buy again

This is great stuff, it's creamy and peachy, most of the time aromatics won't deliver the taste they promisse, this one not only dos that, but it really made an impression. I haven't tried before any peach flavored tobacco so I can't compare it to others, but let's just say that if you like aroamtics, this one will deliver and more. It's just delicious, I'll keep it in my rotation for sure. Hopefully you'll get your hands on this tobacco, let it dry for a while before actually smoking and then sit back, relax and enjoy.

Peaches and Cream. This blend light's easily so long as you allow it to dry out for at least 30 to 60 minate's before packing your pipe. After doing so I just give it a slight rub-out before loading and lighting that way it behave's very well and give's a nice slow easy going smoke. The flavour is very nice and you can taste the mild sweetness of peaches resulting in a 'not over the top' manner. The consistant taste last's almost right through to the end of the bowl and doe's not bite. I did not detect any sourness and I would suggest this blend for anyone new to pipe smoking or if you are like me and just enjoy a sweet change of pace throughout the week. Highly recommended in it's class for an Aromatic I give this 10 out of 10.

As a positive, it is consistent. The slight Peachy note was steady throughout the smoke with the burleys adding a nuttiness and the virginas riding in the third seat. If you are an aromatic smoker, this may be a pleasing smoke for you.

This was not nearly as wet or sticky as most peach blends I have tried, but was still fairly moist. The peach was not as heavy in taste as it was in the smell, but was definitely detectable. The vanilla is hardly present, but this blend has a bit of caramel backing up the peach. Is mostly a cavendish forward smoke. The room note is really nice. It is a bit boring however, and is a one note smoke.

The smell of the blend is great, very much like creamy peaches.

It took me a fair amount of lights to get it going, could possibly go away with some drying time. As far as the tobacco, I mostly taste the burley, specifically the nuttiness it has. The rest of the flavor is from the casing, and while it's not the peachiest aromatic I've had, it's there. It's a subtle flavor, but decidedly peach. The nic hit was more than I'd expect from such a light smelling blend, but was not overbearing. The people around me absolutely loved the room note from the second I started my initial light.

Let me tell you a little story. There once was a PhantomWolf who constantly grumbled about aromatic tobacco blends and how the toppings and casings came across as burning plastic to him. One day during a bout of PhantomWolf's TAD, he added two Oz of Peter Stokkebye- Peaches & Cream to his already bulging cart and checked out. Less than a week later, the hero of our tail ordered another half pound of said tobacco.

This is a staple in my current rotation and has been for the last 6-7 months. Maybe the only constant aromatic at that. The sweet hay, grass, and sunlight of the Virginias work so well with the rich, sublime peach topping which is never over-sugary. The Cavendish adds a smoothness that turns the smoke into a mouthful of peach milkshake. I am only now getting to appreciate Burley and I think this is an excellent example of tobacco playing a role in a blend. As it burns and the peach topping pulls back a bit, the burley comes through in a toasty, nutty, earthy way almost tricking my mind into thinking of a thick, brown pie-crust wrapped around all that peachyness.

Smokes well, but can be damp and may need some relighting.

No bite whatsoever and could be an all day smoke, though I like to smoke it as a desert. I don't want the flavour to get old or overly familiar.

I also smoke this when I have company and it gets rave reviews. I actually visited a friend who is ardently anti-smoking and was encouraged to smoke this blend in her home- It's that wonderful

This is an easy 3 stars for me. If you told me there was a better peach aro out there, I wouldn't believe you. Recommended to anyone who loves peaches.

Also, for fun give this a shot: I had a healthy pinch of Black House in my tobacco wallet that wasn't enough to last the night out of the house, so rather than opening another tin to add to it or tossing it, I mixed it at about 50/50 with the Stokkebye- Peaches & Cream. The Latakia and Oriental combined with that smooth, diminished peach.. It was very unique and actually worked quite well. Like a peach-glazed jerky. I have also tried it with just a pinch of Perique which was also very nice. Then again, I love mixing sweet and savoury elements in cooking as well.

If you are in the mood for peaches and cream, then you are definitely going to get it with this blend. Unfortunately for me, this blend was just too over the top for me, as the casing is just a bit too much. The tobacco seemed to be gloopy to me, and left a slight ghosting inside of the pipe, which took quite a bit of cleaning to get it to smell like anything other than peaches. This is not a bad blend if you like sweet aromatics, however it was just a bit too sweet for me.

Peter Stokkebye was on my radar from rolling my own cigarettes, as all of their cigarette blends are wonderful, pricey, but wonderful. I had wanted to try their pipe blends, and a discount on some of them at a local tobacco store gave me perfect incentive.

Of the blends discounted, I almost went with the champagne, as I thought it smelled to best in the jar. But then I remembered some less than glowing reviews on sites such as this, and ended up going with the peach even though the smell was a little strong.

I tend to be a little wary on aromatics as my experience has run to the non- offensive (Captain Black) to the downright foul (some value brand that tasted like cleaning products). But I'm happy to report that thus far Stokkebye is the best aromatic I've puffed upon. The peach, while strong smelling in the jar, is pleasantly subdued in the taste department. The whole smoke itself is incredibly smooth while having a pretty deep richness and absolutely no bite.

If I have one caveat, it's that the blend is a little low in the vitamin N department, but isn't as completely void as say Captain Black, but a little more kick would have gone a long way.

So my love of Stokkebye extends to the world of pipe tobacco and delivers an aromatic that I actually like. And even without the discount their pipe tobaccos are much more inexpensive than their cigarette, so I'll actually be able to afford trying some other blends in the future.

What struck me rather odd is about halfway down the bowl, I began getting an underlying taste. All I can compare it to is, strangely enough...Mushrooms! It tasted fungal and unpleasant, and maybe there was something growing on the tobacco! VERY Peachy in the beginning, and OK to smoke if you prefer Peaches and 'Shrooms!!

The tobacco was a little moist, but still burned well, requiring only one relight and burned to a light grey ash in the small meer I used for the review. Upon opening the bag the aroma was almost overwhelming with the smell of coconuts being the strongest. But as usually is the case, the taste only slightly resembled the scent, and was not at all overpowering. As with most aromatics, this blend was sweet but again, not to the extent I had expected from the scent. To be quite honest, I could not say with certainty what I tasted was peaches, so lets say only mildly so. The taste was pleasant and surprisingly seemed to improve and strengthen as I reached mid bowl and there was no sign at all of bitterness or bite. In fact, for an aromatic, it burned cooly. I haven't smoked it enough to tell whether I will reorder, but at this point I would have to say I probably will.

Basically, this is a pleasant cool burning aromatic blend that stays lit and does not seem inclined to burn or bite. Give it a try, I think most aromatic smokers would like it.

I bought this tobacco at The Briary in Birmingham, Alabama, under the name Briary Blend, but I am nearly certain that this tobacco is actually PS303 Peaches & Cream.

I am giving this tobacco 2 stars, in the expectation that 2 stars actually means something.

The peach in this blend is both the feature of this blend and the main component of the background. The cream comes from the Cavendish, which is exceptionally good. The basis of this blend is a solid, if uninteresting, backbone of Virginia and burley. If one is looking for a decent, well-blended aromatic where peaches and cream are expected to provide a simple, enjoyable smoke, it is hard to fault this blend. It's not monotone by any means, and it is not offensive.

This blend is a good blend for enjoying a pipe where pipe smoking is a secondary activity. If, on the other hand, one enjoys introspection by contemplating complex, intricate, and nuanced blends, this one is rather lacking.

Dipping your nose in a bag of this bulk tobacco there is just a succulent inviting perfume of sweet Georgia peaches, cultured creamy vanilla, and what I perceived to be some muted cognac-like odor riding herd over the influences of quieted nutty tart grass. Comprised by a well-crafted ratio of soothing Black Cavendish, flue cured Zimbabwean and Malawian Burleys, supported by a modest volume of tart Virginia, No.303 present a blackened bundling of rough-cut ribbons lightly disturbed by sparse golden strands. Applying suitable dressing, Stokkebye’s Peaches and Cream is richly flavored by a spray of sugary floral peach and rich delectable cream as one would anticipate.

With the immediate taste profile, one is greeted by a delightful and full registration of the subject sweet tangy yellow fruit as it rolls forth from an ample bed of silky heavy cream. The balance of the confluent flavors is invariably delicious and most pleasing. Elegantly tapered accents of soft vanilla and light nuttiness smoothly float in to fill out the blend’s forward feature, which holds impressively consistent for the entirety of the bowl.

Underneath and very distant, faint hints of tart Virginia grass and zesty earthen spice provides the natural supporting distinction, adding some interesting ambience to the overall encounter. Enabled by special magic of the Cavendish, Peaches and Cream endows a smooth, well-rounded, and enjoyable smoking experience. Not overly brash but rather tenderly presented for an impressive envelop of sweet affluent delight.

The room note is exceptionally lovely and vibrant as to be expected. Rich streams of sweet fruity fragrance permeate the nose inspiring a savory craving for a heaping bowl of this dessert wonder. The essence of peach is so remarkable it is, by my definition, really amazing. What is more, there is no bite nor nicotine rush to the blend’s mild tempered demeanor making it suitable for a repeat and frequent undertaking.

A great addition to any enthusiastic collection of fruit-based aromatic mixtures. On a chance I grabbed this one for trial. Looking back, I must admit Stokkebye’s Peaches and Cream opened my mind for the true splendor that can be found in improbable mixtures if given the opportunity. What a nice discovery I must say.

I usually am a fan of PS Aromatics, but this one did not do much for me. I won't delve deep into the component tobaccos as this is an aro and the underlying tobacco taste is rather faint and not really relevant.

My issue is the topping; more particular, the peach, as the cream, I believe, is just vanilla. I know you can't just squeeze the juice out of a peach onto tobacco and who is to say if burnt juice of a peach would even smell like a peach, so any topping, by its nature, is merely meant to replicate aromas. Thus, they are all chemical concoctions. Sometimes, when that aroma is off enough it can really irritate me even if the aroma is not per se bad.

That is what is going on here for me. To me this is close to the aroma of a peach, but enough unlike a peach that it comes off as "Chemical tasting" to me. I also found this to be a bite more of a biter than other PS aros I have smoked. Overall I did not find the blend terrible, but I would not buy anymore.

Let me start by telling you, I don't eat peaches, so I may be a bad flavor judge. The bag does open to a powdered sugar, candied fruit kind of thing, that appears to be delivering the advertised treat. The toppings are not hiding; the aroma is strong, nut not to a nauseating level. Has a nicely moist, bouncy ribbon cut on the Black Cavendish side of the scale.

Certainly tasty. The smoke had a nice milky sweetness (cream I suppose), not unlike a mild Vanilla, that complemented the fruit. Easily sipable, and all day smokable without being a sweet stomach ache, or ghost inducing.

Will come as welcome change of pace for Aromatic fruit fans, or those who only ventured as far as cherry and found it too syrupy.

Smells great! But that it. No aromatics comes in the smoke. Still a good tobacco. Just not very aromatic. Just bought one oz and that's enough.

I purchased two ounces of this over the summer. It's taken me three months to get through two ounces. I feel this is a special craving kind of tobacco. I'm not always wanting a super sweet taste.

Pouch note is very nice. A really smooth creamy peach aroma. My sample was a bit wetter than my liking so each bowl I dried quite a bit. Once dry it packs nicely. Stays very springy without the usual aromatic clumps. Lit nicely for a charing light. Produced alot of thick smoke which was very pleasant. Tamp to a fine white ash. Admittedly I leave too much ash in the bowl for a carbueration effect. So I had frequent relights. This had a very smooth and consistent peach flavor. Truly wonderful on a late summer afternoon. The flavor was somewhat one dimensional. But since it was just plain good I didn't mind. According to the peanut gallery the room note was very enjoyable. I'll be adding more of this to my canister collection for next summer. Perfect companion for a glass of ice tea.

If you like aromatics, I say try some. If you don't, why did you bother reading about this selection?

A little bit goopy, but drying it out for 30 minutes or so takes care of that little issue. The wife likes the room note, and so do I! This is the best peach blend I have found so far (although I have just recently been toying around with aromatic blends).

If you enjoy a peach flavored tobacco, this one will probably suffice for you. It burns slow, tastes like peaches and that's about it. A bit of a bite if you pull too hard on it, but other than that it's a pretty decent aromatic.

I found this to be pretty much what I expected. A very rich Danish aromatic with just a bit of the classic nip that goes with it. But not enough to deter me from smoking it. Somewhat moist, but not wet out of the bag. The bag aroma smells of peaches and in a big way. The flavor and aroma while smoking match that of the bag aroma. A real crowd pleaser. The taste does not preclude any tobacco flavor, but make no mistake about it, it is heavily cased.

It burns slow and if smoked properly, it shouldn't bite. No evidence of goop left in the bowl, but it will leave it a bit wet. No more than other aromatics.

If this is your cup of tea, it's a bargain.

One suggestion. If the peach casing is a bit much for you, mix using the following components for a real treat.

8 ounce Lane BCA 4 ounce Stokkebye Peaches & Cream 4 ounce Lane BLWAB
