Brebbia Quartetto (Mixture No. 22)
(2.80)
Broad cut, bright and sweet Virginia tobaccos combined with dark and mild black cavendish are the secret of this extraordinary blend. Aromatic fruit extracts of herbs and spices increase the fragrance and the taste of this rare, mild blend.

I like this blend, especially in the morning with coffee. It's not overly moist and it's not heavily cased like some aromatics. It has a nice light to medium fruity spiced rum taste and a very nice room note. It burns very nicely and evenly with few relights. A solid three stars, partly for a quality product and partly for restraint with flavorings.

This is in my opinion an excellent mild mixture, an all-day-long tobacco. It's a delicate aromatic, fine and sweet aroma. The tin-note of this coarse-cut mixture is nice and flowery/fruity, and translates quite well into a very similar aroma during the smoke. The retro-hale is wonderful indeed. This tobacco develops quite nicely throughout the bowl: first the delicate casing, then the sweetness of the cavendish and virginias comes forward. The Latakia, which is declared to be present in the mixture, is quite difficult to detect in the mouth, and undetectable in the tin. You have now and then just a faint whiff, only a suggestion of latakia after the first half of the bowl (imagination?). Perhaps only traces of Latakia are put in the mixture, conferring only a "background aroma", enhancing the complexity of this multi-faceted mixture. Now and then the impression of a subtle chemical-tasting topping. No "cigarett-ish" overwhelming burley, which I personally dislike. This great tobacco will surely remain in my weekly rotation.

This has a herbal and fruit scent and flavor. A decent smoke for aromatic fanciers, but definately no bell ringer.

Again, I was offered a sample of this tobacco by my tobacconist: the sample was quite dry, but it still had flavor. All the considerations written for N.10 Romanza still apply to this other similar blend: the difference lies in the more "herbal" and "tea-like" scent of the unburnt tobacco, but the taste of the smoke (slightly fruity, sweet, but ultimately a bit acrid and bitter) is similar, and so are the burning qualities (little goop, no relights). OK if you like the genre, but not memorable.

This currently is my preferred aromatic.
It tends to be very humid from the can so you'll need to let it dry. It's reasonably sweet, with some spicy and bitter under notes. It's fruity and herbal and it leaves some quite enjoyable room notes.
I love to smoke this tobacco in the morning, especially if the air is cool but it's very enjoyable in the evening as well.
Strongly recommended if you like aromatics.
