I have been extolling the virtues of this blend to anyone who will listen, and now it is time for you to be subjected to it.
I am a very big fan of cigar leaf based blends - Key Largo and Cloud Hopper being two of my favorites - but Mountaineer's Resolve is in a category of its own. Its sublime, its rich, it smells amazing, and it's *independently blended and produced.*
I am an occasional cigar smoker, preferring lanceros for the nuanced taste and Habano wrappers for their wonderful straight-down-the-middle taste and smell. This blend checks every single box that I look for in my favorite cigars, and THEN SOME. Given the blending components, one might think Jim has simply thrown the kitchen sink into his blending bowl and called it a day, but no. It's superbly balanced, richly refined, and is as nuanced as nuanced can possibly be. Imagine the creamy smoke, the light spice, the light sweetness, a wonderful nuttiness and full body, all playing together to make your palate sing. Five stars out of four.
If you enjoy cigar leaf forward blends at all, I cannot recommend Mountaineer's Resolve enough. It's v
