Good evening, today we are going to taste a highly anticipated tobacco. A W.O. Larsen 2024. In 2024, the brand celebrates its 160th anniversary. And for this occasion, I'm going to try it with an exceptional pipe, a flower by a great artisan piper, Cédric Maréchal of C.M. Pipes. They say what a first class tobacco is. This mixture, according to the house, is of high quality. There are some who will keep it as a collection, since it comes with a number and is a limited series. Tonight, I'm going to try it and I'm going to leave you my feelings or dispel a myth about a long-awaited tobacco. Here we go. It is a blend that consists of Virginia, Black Cavendish and Burley in a combination of loose cut and cross cut. Only when you open the can do you notice the aroma of cinnamon, speculoos and cloves. It envelops the whole. You should know, before continuing, that To celebrate 2024 and the 160th anniversary of the house, they offer us a typical mix from the Scandinavian countries at Christmas. When lighting the pipe, you immediately notice that it is a truly smooth, tasty and well-balanced tobacco. You can notice the sweetness of the Virginia, in all the thirds, the Burley, this chocolate flavor, which is also noticeable when opening the can, is noticeable throughout the smoke and the Black Cavendish, without becoming a kind of tobacco but an additional healing method which consists of raising the sugars of the tobacco adds a very soft and pleasant touch. The tobacco has a slight burning sensation and is a pleasant smoking experience, due to this sweet but firm and distinctive flavor. The smoke leaves soft notes of cinnamon, speculoos (these cookies that our mothers made at Christmas, cinnamon flavor and this touch that only they have the secret) and cloves in the atmosphere, in addition, they give the mixture a special note. Delicate and elegant without being cloying. I smoked it and enjoyed it after a good dinner, and of course, accompanied by my glass of Cognac. I think it is a successful tobacco, living up to the ambitions and hopes we have known that they are going to celebrate their 160th anniversary. A tobacco that can be smoked at any time of the day, a very Christmas flavour and that leaves you wanting more. The aroma is full and fills the mouth with satisfaction, making it a very good experience for any pipe smoker. Tested with a Briar pipe hand made by "C.M. Pipes"
Pipe Used: Pipe made in Briar, C.M.Pipes "Cédric Maréchal"
Age When Smoked: 55
