Pop open this tin to be greeted by a refreshing tropical breeze. This stuff is seriously fruity and takes you away to an island paradise. Light up a bowl and the tartness from the pineapple mixed with the banana tastes like a tiki drink on beach. The vanilla is slightly present on the aftertaste. Perhaps with the combinations of flavours from the tobaccos and the toppings, I detect a faint coconut note despite that not being listed in the ingredients. Maybe it's just my brain playing tricks on me with this explosion of tropical flavours, but this blend does remind you of a piña colada with its creaminess when you first start puffing.

The base tobaccos are fantastic, brown sugar and sweet bread are the dominant flavours. This works to the blends advantage once the pineapple and vanilla burn off around half way through. You are left with the banana, molasses, and bread. The mid point of this smoke begins to taste exactly like banana bread! You taken on a tropical vacation then back home to grandma's baking.

This is a special blend, and I am not one to go for aromatics, especially not richly flavoured ones like this. However, for a blend to burn cool, smooth, and not leave a goopy mess in my pipe DESPITE being this flavourful is definitely an achievement. And on top of that all it takes you on such a rollercoaster of flavours that evolve as you smoke. And the cherry on top of this tropical cocktail — the room note is heavenly.

4/4 - excellent summertime treat, or a mental escape from the cold of winter.

The tin note brings out pretty much exclusively the pineapple and banana toppings. For me it actually tasted more like melon, but seeing the ingredients, I understand that it's actually pineapple. The banana is nice and very noticeable.

Smoking notes: The pineapple and banana again are the main flavors passing through. This doesn't have a strong vanilla essence. Actually, it's barely noticed at all. Some body is provided by the Virginia leaf, but the flavorings are the main players. Flavors are fairly balanced with themselves and with the Virginia. Not an especially complex blend, but not boring either.

Best smoked after some drying time. This review covers a month after the tin has been opened. It's easy to pack and smoke. The flavor carries itself throughout the smoke with minimal relights, if any. Smokes in moderate pace. Can be an all-day smoke, but for me the uniqueness of the flavors will probably not be as noticed if this is all you smoke, so I'd keep it to occasional smoking. No tongue bite.

Mild-medium in body, mild in strength.

Nice blend, decent amount of flavor, but for me this wasn't enough for a strong recommendation.
