The stoved Dominican cigar cavendish provides a fair amount of earth, wood, leather, vegetation, herb, stewed tangy citrus, some sugar, cedar, tea, bread, light creamy coffee, nuts, pepper, grass and a couple of cocoa notes as the lead component. The blackened Kentucky burley cavendish offers a lot of sweet nuts, earth, wood, and bread in a support role. Almost equaling that is the creamy, sugary stoved black cavendish. The sweetly tart dark cocoa topping is a little more prominent than the sweet espresso, and both tone down the tobacco a little more than moderately. The strength is medium. The taste is a step past that mark. The nic-hit is couple of notches behind the overall strength level. It won’t bite or get harsh, and barely has a rough note. Well balanced, it burns cool, clean, and slightly slow with a very consistent creamy sweet, nutty, mild cigar, floral, smooth flavor that extends to the pleasantly lingering after taste. The room note is pleasant. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a couple more than an average number of relights. Can be an all day smoke. Four stars.
