One of McConnell\'s Heritage line tobaccos that, miraculously, does not have a single review in the ocean of reviews. Until now!

The 50 gram round tin comes in the standard Heritage line, the yellow trim of McConnell\'s tobacco. When opening, the aromatic notes of dark (more) and light (less) virginia dominate in the beginning with, in my opinion, a substantial dose of raisins, spicy perique, and visually they are
nicely cut round flakes with a diameter of about 4 cm wide that remain whole when separated.

When you first light the pipe, the tobacco emits the typical sweet, slightly chocolatey and grassy notes of dark and light virginia, after which the tobacco soon lets you know that there is a considerable amount of perique present here, which follows the virginia to the very end of the pipe, because during smoking I did not notice that perique occasionally hides or to bounce in front of virginia.

I think any smoker who likes Virginia/Perique blends will definitely enjoy this tobacco. Maybe it won\'t be an all-day tobacco for someone because of the strength, but maybe it will be for me, considering that I\'m resistant to some stronger tobaccos, so this one just suits me. I first smoked it crushed which gave me a mellow tone halfway through the pipe, then it picked up a lot of flavor and strength in the lower part of the bowl. From the second bowl, and now up to the sixth I found it works better fold it twice halfway into balls and just put it down in the pipe because then its strength and taste are constant throughout the session until the end of the pipe. Of course, like most flake tobaccos, I think it gives a lot more of itself in larger pipes...such as pot and brandy.
My rating for this tobacco is 3,5 out of 4.
Anyway, I will buy it again if I can.
Highly recommended for VA/Per lovers. Just sipp it and enjoy.
