The blended Turkish and tart and tangy Macedonia Prilep provide an abundance of earth, wood, herbs, vegetation, floralness, dry sourness, tingly spices, mild sweetness, bitterness and smoke. They are the lead components. The maduro cigar offers a fair amount of earth, wood, smoke, peaty vegetation, floralness, toast, some spice, creamy sugar, fairly mild tangy citrus, cocoa, light coffee, dark fruit, and a touch of molasses as a strong supporting player. The flue cured bright Virginia produces some tart and tangy citrus, grass, bread, mild sugar, floralness, and light spice. It’s a couple of steps above the condiment line, and that much below the maduro cigar. The strength is in center of medium to strong. The taste is a step past that center. The nic-hit is a slot below the overall strength level. No chance of bite or harshness. Has a few small rough notes. Well balanced, it burns cool and clean with a very consistent floral, spicy, sweet and more sour, savory deeply rich flavor that extends to the pleasantly lingering after taste. The room note is rather pungent. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Not an all day smoke. Four stars.
