1947-1957 sealed tin of 1.52 oz (2/21 lbs) of Wakefield English Mixture, manufactured by the Tuckett Tobacco Co. Limited (part of Imperial Tobacco Company) in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Dated by the "Catalogue of the Federal Tobacco Stamps of Canadian by Christopher Ryan"
Tin note of sweet honey and sugar and a mildly tart almost sharp sour. Tobacco is a course cut of tan, brown and black. Moisture content is dry, but not crumbly, humidifying may be warranted. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. Flavoring is very mild, with notes of Honey. Honey flavor never leaves the background and fades to nothing by the 1/2-way point. Taste is mild to medium and mostly consistent, with notes of smoky, floral, mildly bitter, sour lemon, mild honey, fermented herbal vegetation, very spicy, acidic, spices, very wood, toast, dry hay, buttery, tart citrus, a mildly nutty and grassy background note, and a peppery retro. I speculate Oriental/Turkish is leading with Latakia, Burley, Virginia and Flavoring supporting. Room note is tolerable, and aftertaste is ok.
