Opening the tin, an overwhelming scent of candied lemons. This is the dominant taste for the first few minutes of the smoke, which is sweet and syrupy. It soon mellows, retaining sweetness but with a more straw like flavour, and occasional spiciness, and this remains til the end.
There is no hint whatsoever of gin and tonic, if it had to have a comparable flavour, it would be sherbet lemons. Even though that's not really what I'd want to taste while smoking, I thought it was still perfectly pleasant. Like I say, that eventually subsides and the remaining smoke is exceedingly mellow and pleasant, with no bitterness or bite at all.

Tin note: Sweet, citrusy.
Aspect: Small bright brown ribbons, with some black ribbons being the black cavendish.
Taste/Flavor: Sugar, molasses, citrus, lemon, oranges, nutty, hazelnut, peanut, chocolaty, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg... lots of stuff but definitely no gin & tonic. Pinches at times, other times it’s smooth. Actually, it bites. Medium taste and flavor.
Burn: Not the best. Needs several relights and tends to get hot and bite.
Room note: Pleasant, but very shy.
All in all, it’s a decent blend, I’m sure many will enjoy this, but this didn’t make a big impression on me.
