Sutliff Tobacco Company Dark and Silky

(4.00)
Dark and Silky is a part of the historic company's Private Stock line, and its blend entirely comprises black cavendish that's been topped with the sumptuous essence of chocolate. This aromatic mixture certainly lives up to its name, with plenty of flavor to savor, all thanks to Sutliff's experienced blenders.

Sutliff Tobacco Co. - Dark and Silky. Dark and Silky? Well it sure is dark! The tin contains jet black tobacco, which has a very beguiling aroma of chocolate. It isn't a ribbon cut, no way, it's a very coarse cut mixture. It might be considered a little too damp for some smokers, but this tin still smoked fine straight away. The smoke epitomises the word decadent. Right from the off there's creamy, sweet Cavendish, with a perfect accompaniment of sweet, milky chocolate; not bitter chocolate, but very 'laid back'. The black Cavendish is very 'heavy', it generates lots of opulent smoke, which is almost chewy!! Although it has a fairly formidable topping, I get no tongue bite and it's a cool temperature smoke. Nicotine: very mild. Room-note: couldn't offend anyone! Dark and Silky? My kind of aromatic. So much so, after one bowl I ordered more for the cellar. Highly recommended: Four stars.
