The stars are, in order of importance, baking spices, creamy vanilla, butter and burnt caramel. Each topping have some strength and depth, but don’t drown out the tobaccos. The white burley provides some earth, wood, nuts, toast, very mild dry sharpness, and light sourness as they take a light lead. The blackened burley cavendish offers some creamy sugar, nuts, earth, wood and toast as a strong supporting player. The bright Virginia produces some tart and tangy citrus, grass, sugar, bread, mild floralness, a couple pinches of spice, and light acidity in the third slot. The strength and nic-hit are just past the center of mild to medium. The taste is medium. No chance of bite or harshness. Has a few minute rough edges from the white burley. Well balanced with some nuance, it burns cool, clean and slightly slow with a very consistent, fairly comfortable sweet and nutty, spicy, slightly sour, deeply rich flavor that extends to the pleasantly lingering after taste. The room note is very pleasant. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Can be an all day smoke if you like some spice. Three and half stars.

The bag note is a delicious aroma of cocoa, marshmallow, burley, buttery, fresh baked cookies. Smells like a codger delight. It’s fairly moist but not wet. Smoked straight away. Packed lightly because of its moistness.
The taste was nutty. Nutty, chocolate, sweet toasty marshmallows. The flavors are natural and without any artificial tones. What tobacco flavor I get is mainly from the burley. It’s a well done old fashioned aromatic. A few more than average relights, no tongue bite or harshness. When the topping dies down it stays a nice mellow burley Virginia blend with hints of cocoa, butter, and marshmallow. There’s some spice too as the bowl gets to the bottom. The nic hit in the morning is almost not there, it’s light. I wonderful morning cup of coffee smoke. A nostalgic aromatic codger blend to harken back to years gone by.
