The multi-continental Asian and South American red, bright and stoved Virginias provide a lot of tart and tangy citrus, vegetative grass, bread, sour lemon, some tangy dried darker fruits, stewed fruits, earth, wood, sugar, floralness, spice, and light vinegar, honey, smoke, cigar, peat and acidic notes. The brights takes a little of the lead. The casings include apricot, blackcurrant, and figs as they compliment the Virginias, and mildly tone them down. The strength and taste levels are medium. The nic-hit is a notch behind them. There’s no chance of bite or harshness. Has a few light rough edges that were mostly tamed by the casings. Well balanced with some nuance, it burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a very consistent fruity, mildly sweet, floral, spicy, savory, sour flavor that extends to the lightly lingering, pleasant after taste. The room note is pleasant. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Can be an all day smoke. Three and a half stars.
