(4.00)
Verg21 is a single limited batch of Virginias and perique using similar design cues to a previous blend called Verge Engine Overdrive.
Notes: This is a stronger more robust blend using browned strong Virginias instead of stoved ones and a slightly more peppery perique. Disclaimer:
this blend does not have a characterizing added flavor.

The various Virginias include several reds, orange, bright, and African dark. They provide a burst of zesty tart and tangy citrus, grass, bread, some tangy ripe dark fruit, floralness, sugar, earth, wood, mild vegetation, spice, and a touch of acidity. The stewed fruity (raisins and plums) perique has a bit of pepperiness as a secondary player. The strength and nic-hit barely pass the medium mark. The taste level is a step ahead of that threshold. There’s no chance or bite or harshness. It’s mildly complex and well balanced enough that none of the Virginias drown out the others or the perique. Burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a very consistent fruity, spicy, floral, rich flavor that extends to the pleasantly lingering after taste. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a pleasant to tolerable room note. Can be an all day smoke for the veteran, and repeatable for the less experienced. Four stars.
