The bright, lemon, orange and red matured Virginias produce a burst of tart and tangy citrus, tartly sour lemon, grass, earth, wood, bread, sugar, floralness, moderate tangy ripe and dried darker fruits, vegetation, tingly spice, a hint of honey and a little sour acidity. The strength, nic-hit, and taste levels are a couple of steps past the center of mild to medium. There’s no chance of bite or harshness, and barely has any rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable rate with very consistent sweet and mildly sour Virginia flavors that extends to the pleasantly, lightly lingering after taste. Barely leaves any dampness in the bowl. Requires a minimal number of relights. The room note is pleasant. An all day three and a half star blend with great age potential.
