The grassy, citrusy Virginia also has a bit of dark fruit, wood and earthiness, plus a couple pinches of spice. The nutty, earthy, woody, lightly sweet burley plays a secondary role. There’s a light spice note, but I can’t determine its origin. The toppings are tropical fruit with rich, tart black berry brandy, and sublimate the tobaccos to a fair extent. The brandy has a hint of chemical. The strength level doesn’t quite make the center of mild to medium. The taste is a step past that center. The nic-hit is just past mild. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns a tad warm, clean and a little slow as the tobacco is moist and a thick cut ready rub. I recommend a light dry time. The flavors are very sweet and consistent to the finish. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and requires some relights. Has a very pleasant, lingering after taste and room note. Can be an all day smoke. Two and a half stars.
