I have a good quantity of Russ’ Monthly blends in my cellar. While I’m not a regular aromatic fan, I do enjoy a good aro from time to time.
I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a review of this tobacco yet. The toppings do sublimate the tobacco quite a bit. But there is a nutty, buttery flavor from the Burley in the background, with a little grass and citrus from the Virginia. The background flavors become more evident at the halfway mark, but the topping remains dominant throughout.
As for the flavoring, it is sweet, but not overly so. A combo of blueberry, raspberry, cherry… it s hard to nail it down, but it is refreshing.
I allowed it to dry to the point that when pinched, it stuck together briefly, then fell apart. It’s not cloying or goopy, and required an average number of relights. Good tobacco for a warm summer day.
