Interested in the maple sugar range of aromatics by my love of MacBaren's Club Blend and Peterson's Hyde Park, which is both rum and maple done right, I thought I'd try a cheaper blend along the same lines.
The pouch contains lots of Black Cavendish, a good amount of Burley and some VA. And, by the smell of it, about a gallon of perfumed soap. The aroma is nothing even near rum or maple syrup/sugar, obviously artificial/chemical, though not too nasty.
The long ribbon stuffs easily and is easily lit, burns down to very little dottle, and leaves an aftertaste that I can only describe as Dow Chemical meets BASF. Truly nasty. The room note is unobtrusive, though.
I am putting the rest of my pouch where it will do the most good: in my garden, hoping it will drive off pests.
