The pouch note is wonderful. I couldn't wait to try it. What I really like is it burns cool, not hot as hell like most cherry blends. Burn rate is good, and the taste is light cherry. Did not taste artificial. The tobaccos seem to be of a high quality. The price is ridiculously low ($1.59/ounce!) The blend is not at all like a drug store tobacco, it is very good. Low Country blends are from the Low Country tobacco shop in S.C. I think C&D has some type of connection but I'm not 100% sure on that one. You owe it to yourself to check out this line, you won't regret it!

Low Country Pipe & Cigar - Cherry.
I assumed this to be flavoured with just cherry, due to the name, but my initial whiff instantly suggested vanilla as well. The product description attested that I wasn't having nasal hallucinations! Black Cavendish only accounts for about 20-25% of the blend, it's prominently medium brow ribbons. Moisture's good.
Although the cherry gives flavour to the smoke, it doesn't taste too sharp, or acidic. The vanilla smooth's, calms, and relaxes the smoke, preventing the cherry running a mock. Because the quantity of black Cavendish appeared small, and there's an added vanilla flavour on top, I can't specifically say "oh, I taste black Cav"; the Virginia takes responsibility for the tobacco flavour. I get a cool temperature smoke, from a steady burn.
The nicotine: mild. The room-note: pleasant.
Low Country Pipe & Cigar- Cherry? Not too bad, but just 'one of many' where this type of blend is concerned.
Somewhat recommended:
Two stars.
