Alte Tabakstube St. James
(3.00)
Translated from the German website: High share of latakia and black cavendish, Orientals, Kentucky, Maryland & perique. Dark looking mixture and smoky aroma with a soft-tangy taste. Very cool combustion.

This is a interesting mix of a whole bunch of tobaccos. Some may say maybe too much ingridients? No - it's very well balanced and provides a rather unique tangy, bit earthy and rich smoke.
The mixture smells pretty earthy with a mild Latakia note to it. Those are the main flavours you get and smell in this blend. Easy to pack, easy to light!
It gives a mellow Kentucky taste, which is earthy and creamy rich in taste. Supported by a whiff of Latakia to be noticed while smoking. Perique adds a bit more spice and a slight peppery note. The other ingridients I can't clearly identify, if i hadnt read the description, but I guess they just all "melt" into the unique and awesome taste of this blend.
It's hard to find words for the taste, it has some "Englishness" to it, but also a deep Kentucky flavour. It's tangy an somehow mild and mellow. This is like YING and YANG. All those ingridients just merge into a good and interesting tasting tobacco.
3/4 Stars - I wouldn't say this is THE best tobacco of this style i've had, but definetly a very good one and one, i'd like to buy more of!
