I've become a fan of the Lane Limited "Cigar-themed" tobaccos and this was the last of the bunch I purchased. My favorite has been the Partagas blend, but I like all of the others as well. Upon opening the tin, this tobacco just has a very rich, somewhat robust aroma. Not to moist right out of the tin, so I was able to pack my pipe and smoke it right away.
I'm a cigar guy who loves pipes as well and instantly I knew this would be a tobacco I would be enjoying more of. It's mild, but has lots of flavor and body. I didn't have to relight it at all, it burned very well. No bite, and no crazy topping aftertaste.
If you're like me and enjoy cigars and are looking for a pipe tobacco that kinda fills that craving, this might be the one for you. I thoroughly enjoyed and am enjoying this tobacco. I've cellared a couple of tins and can't wait to see what it's like in a year or so.

Lane Limited - Foundry.
I was pleased to find, when I removed the lid, it was of a good moistness for smoking fresh. It's a well rubbed ribbon, minus any twigs or bigger broken flakes, and includes quite an equal amount of each colour; black, brown, and yellow.
Although the description says ''classically English'', I don't find enough Latakia piquancy to warrant that description. Not that it's unnoticeable, it's presence is unarguable, but it's quite a smooth, and mellow, smoke. This vanilla smoothness is a result of the black Cavendish, with the Burley being of an equal weight. The Virginia gives a quality taste, albeit, a touch disinteresting, to me. The burn from Foundry's reliable, but a bit fast, giving a fairly cool smoke.
Nicotine: mild to medium. Room-note: pleasant.
Foundry: a well rounded smoke, but subjectively, I find it a touch boring. It's better than two stars, though:
Recommended.

This is a very nice blend I must say. Upon opening the tin, It smelled just like a typical English blend. That leathery damp smell you get from a good English blend.
