The gold and red Virginias are grassy with some citrus, dark fruit and a little earth and drop or two of citrus. The sweetened black cavendish has a little sugar, and an undercurrent of vanilla in the background. The peach and mango toppings have some richness, and seem almost equal in their respective amounts. They do sublimate the tobaccos to a fair extent, though you will notice the inherent aspects of the Virginias. The nic-hit is mild. The strength is mild and the taste is a shade closer to medium than it is to mild. Burns at a reasonable pace, cool and clean with a very smooth, consistent flavor from top to bottom. Won’t bite or get harsh, and you can burn every strand of tobacco. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and needs few relights. Has a very pleasing after taste and room note. A easy going all day smoke that doesn’t over power or wear out its welcome.

Villager - Tropical Export.

Tropical? You're not kidding!

A fairly coarse mixture, heavier on the black Cavendish than Virginia. Only a touch too moist and smells strongly cased.

If you like strong, fruity, aromatics try a bowl of this. The tropical fruit definitely monopolizes the smoke. The flavour brings to mind the Fruit Salad sweets I used to have as a kid. Tropical export offers very little tobacco flavours. I get a good, medium speed, burn, and no bite.

Nicotine: mild to medium. Room-note: nice.

Tropical Export? Not my idea of a good smoke. Somewhat recommended:

Two stars.

Nic hit is low. Room note is great, if you enjoy fruit. Burns to ash, a few re-lights. I like the taste and smell. The real review comes from my wife. For years (60s through the 90s) my father-In-law blended Amphora Red with Captain Black. By the time I came along, he had switched to Captain Black only, having a hard time finding a steady supply of Amphora Red where they lived. Anyway, my wife says this blend smells like what she remembers her dad’s blend’s room-note smelling like. She loves it, and actually encourages me smoking it in the house. And the teenager, who can’t stand smoking, likes the smell of it as well.Need I say more? Worth checking out at least once.

Another of my recent Villiger purchases.

The pouch note upon opening really sort of reminded me slightly of juicy fruit gum. It's definitely fruity forward. The tobacco (similar to the other blends) was pretty moist when I opened it. I used the DGT by packing a bowl the night before for the drive to work the next morning. This got it to the perfect moisture level to me. It also works to leave it open in your car on a warm day as it will also make a great air freshener 🙂

Packing, like the other blends, takes a little caution to avoid packing too tightly. If so it doesn't want to burn well. Packed springy, it burns great with just a couple of lights required.

The flavor followed through from the tin note. There is no real tobacco taste in this one... its covered up by the fruit flavors. It doesn't bite unless really pushed. It burns down to white ash, so there is good quality tobacco hiding in there. I'm not sure there is any nicotine in there.

Room note was delightful to my wife. So far she's liked all three Villiger's I've tried and commented "I wish you'd smoke stuff like that all the time..."

The price point is really cheap on these in Summer 2019. I stocked up on a couple more to have in the truck.

This is a great summer blend for those times when you are sitting outside sipping some tropical drink and maybe have your feet in the pool. It's fun 🙂

Don't get your island fantasy travel hopes up, the bag smelled about as tropical as the perfume aisle in a middle America mall, and the weather calls for rain. If you wring out the bag, it will start dripping; the stuff was so horribly wet with god knows what they sprayed on.

After tearing the bag open (it had this annoying seal that ripped), I braced for the worst, grabbed a wad of this sticky crud and wedged some into a pipe. I didn't even wait for it to dry as it looked too cheap to care. Surprisingly it actually lit without much additional effort, throwing off a not-too-natural smoke. It wasn't harsh. Tasted like the air freshner it smelled like, but never came across as pipe tobacco. It was like smoking some messed up tea leaves.

As with the other Villiger tobacco I tried, I would expect to see this sold at the gas station, right below the $1 cigars made of cardboard filings.

A solid entry in the Fruity tobacco arena. The Virginia really complements the peach, mango casing. The casing dominates the smoke. Burns well with few relights. Very similar to Villiger's Jamaican, but the difference in the underlying tobaccos (BC in this blend and Burley in Jamcaican
