I bought this loose tobacco by my tobacconist in Ponte Chiasso, Dubini Monica. She told me that the Perique quantity is huge, but then I saw that it is 7%. Maybe that is a huge quantity of Perique, I do not know. The colour is a medium dark brown, quite fatty and wet. The scent is very nice. Rich, a bit alchoolic, with figues and raisin. Eventually with a rhum aroma. Sweet but not at all flavored. Natural tobacco. Because of the humidity It requires care in loading the pipe, but if you load it properly the smoke is smooth and even until the end. Very smooth and pleasant. In the first half of the smoke you may feel the spicy spikes of the Perique but they are quite well balanced by the roundness of the Virginia. The aroma resembles aged rhum and dark chocolate. Very smooth and even. It is a medium strenght, not heavy for the stomach and for the brain and heart. Nicotine is not so much visible. Maybe the Perique is hitting a bit on the tongue, but not hurting in any way. It is a very pleasant and great tobacco.
