Rubicon was, in my opinion, one of the finest tobaccos ever made. Strong and refined Virginia, smashing Orientals, a delicate touch of Syrian Latakia all combined in a manner to make pipe smokers sing with joy! My tin was 25 years old, so, I know the heavy amount of Virginia in this offering was softer and more refined, thus turning a good blend into a great one. I wish I could find more of this stuff. Now I know why it was constantly mentioned as a smoker's choice in the old Pipe Smokers Ephemeris Magazines.
