James Barber - Golden Flake.
When I first stumbled across this I assumed it would be just like Bob's Chocolate. Well, that was wrong!
When I sniffed the pouch I was sure I could smell chocolate, but I think that might been more in my head as the smoke's nowhere near as chocolate like as Bob's, or some of the other heavy chocolate tobacco's. With Golden Flake, the chocolate gives only a very mild sweetness/creaminess: pleasant, but very mild either way.
The majority of the smoke contains a simple Virginia flavour. Pretty much like any basic Virginia: grass, hay, citrus, and a little wood.
The nicotine's reflective of a standard straight Virginia: quite mild. And the room-note's fairly pleasant.
This is quite a good blend, it just bores me in a short space of time. For this reason I can only somewhat recommend it:
