The Virginia has a fair amount of earthiness and very noticeable citrus and fruit taste. It’s a little prominent than the burley, which is very nutty and earthy with deep molasses, but the burley plays a strong second lead, and at times pushes the Virginia for attention. There’s some spice, too, though it’s hard to tell how much comes from the bright Virginia and how much may come from a topping, although no topping is listed. I question that because there’s a very mild sugar sweetness that doesn’t seem to come from the tobaccos, so I will claim something was added at some point. The black cavendish is smooth and sugary with a touch of vanilla as a background player. I occasionally get an essence of Kentucky, which isn't in the description, but I believe some is present. The nic-hit is just a little more than moderate, and gathers a little more strength after the half way point before you know it. The strength is closer to medium than it is to strong. Burns at a reasonable pace, cool, clean and smooth with some creaminess as it easily burns to ash. No harsh or dull moments, and it will not bite. Requires a few relights because it’s a little moist out of the bag, but leaves almost no moisture in the bowl. Has a pleasantly sweet and lingering after taste. Not really an all day smoke, but it’s close enough that it bears repeating during the day.
