Our second Virginia-based blend (the first being our very popular Gimli´s Beard), we chose to name this tobacco for the great English explorer, pirate, and pipe smoker, Sir Francis Drake.
This mix is mostly golden Virginia tobaccos, with some burley for texture, and a bit of Cavendish to help the natural sweetness of the Virginia.
What results is a very natural tasting smoke, without any of the smokiness common to the English blends, or the added sweetness of the Aromatics.
