McGahey - Widdecombe Mixture.
Medium size ribbons which arrive perfectly hydrated. The blend smells rich but doesn't suggest 'Lat Bomb'
The flavour's good. To be succinct it's woody and sweet. The woodiness comes from the Latakia (more woody than smoky), but the Virginia and Cavendish add a sweetness; keeping the taste on the milder side of medium. I don't detect any other added flavours, it's nicely basic. The burn from it's fairly cool and I get no bite.
Nicotine: medium. Room-note: pleasant.
Widecombe Mixture? A smoke I'll happily recommend:
Three stars.

This tobacco, I am quite sure, is Gawith & Hoggarth's No. 25 Mixture repackaged (in the same way that McGahey's 'Digger Flake' is Walnut/Original Flake repackaged), perhaps with the addition of some Cavendish. Everything I said in my review of No. 25 Mixture applies here, which is why I rate it Highly Recommended. Whether selling a manufacturer's branded tobacco under a new name as if it were something else is an ethical practice, I don't presume to say.
