A long time cigar smoker, I have recently (2015) added pipes to my daily routine... and it has been great. While I am allowed to smoke cigars in the house once a week with the guys, the pipe is permitted every day.

I prefer my cigars to be smooth with an easy nose exhale. The same goes for pipe tobacco, although I do enjoy a semi-hardy mix now and then. My beginner's interest is with blends that have a good room note so that "she who is terrific" is pleased and continues to sit beside me while I enjoy my nightcap pipe. My tasting palette is limiited, like an 8 color box of crayons. I admire those who can pick out all those subtleties, but that isn't me. I'm more cave-man-like (Gooood. Baaaad)
