About Me

I obtained most of my pipes years ago (70's - 80's). Smoked on/off since then. Most of my pipes were purchased in Brooklyn from Don-Lou Images for Don Lou pipes. He was the guy that taught me all I know about pipes and smoking them.

Dominic Cazzetta created his fine Don-Lou pipes on Bath Avenue in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, NY. He passed away in the early 1990s and his pipes are becoming increasingly rare and collectible. He used primarily the finest grade Corsican briar, but I also saw him create pipes from exotic woods such as rosewood, maple, cherry, walnut padouk, bubinga, zebra wood.

My Don-Lou pipes include Corsican Briars, Indian Paduke, Rosewood, Oregon Oak, and Greek Briars. Each provide different nuisances to the flavor of the smoke. For example, Oregon Oak adds spiciness and Indian Paduke adds a sweetness.
