    great blend

I dislike reviews of tobaccos I like. makes me worry everyone will buy it up. smelly clean manure when I opened the tin. super sweet almost sweet tart flavor in the bowl. recommend to all enthusiasts and all newcomers looking for one of the best flavors a pipe tobacco can offer

    magnum soapus

This blend tastes a lot like White Knight. It tastes like soap. I'm having flashbacks of my youth when I got my mouth washed out with soap. Yuck!

    Magnum Opus .

A nicely balanced tobacco with just the right amount of strength and taste for an all-day smoke for most people. After smoking it somewhat regularly for 18 months it seems to be losing a little both to me but it is still a superior overall blend as far as I am concerned.

    Good Stuff

This is a good tasting, good clean burning, medium strength nonaromatic tobacco that reminds me a lot of Balkan Sasieni except it is a little spicier but more expensive.

    One of the absolute best

Posted by eric j. on 2nd Apr 2018

I wanted to try this forever and finally just ordered it. Tin arrived in no time flat (as usual!) and I cracked her open. The tin note is just wonderful, and out of the ordinary. I was so excited to try it and then noticed how dry the tobacco was. I was immediately concerned and searched on forums to see if this was normal. Found a post from Russ himself talking about how they intentionally tin their baccy on the drier side so you actually get the actual tobacco amount you are paying for and not water weight. This eased my mind and a loaded the first bowl. Charring light was a meld of so many flavors. Tamped her and then was totally mind blown by the experience that followed. This may be one of my absolute favorite blends now. It is stout, yet light. The orientals are beautiful, and everything else just plays so well together. Burned to a perfect, light ash. I wish this was sold in bulk as I would buy at least a pound. This is now in my regular rotation. Give it a try. You will not regret it.

    Worth Buying

Has a lot of taste and smoke and is strong enough that you know you are smoking but doesn't burn your throat or tongue. I would definitely recommend trying it.
