Laurel Heights is a dubious combination of Latakia and Virginia style tobacco, which form a relationship that is actually quite pleasant to smoke. Laurel Heights is the perfect middle between a pure Virginia mixture and a smokey english tobacco.

I don’t detect any Latakia jumping out, but that may be the goal here.
Im a big fan of Pease tobaccos. This one is a very nice, well balanced, very enjoyable, easy smoking Virginia, which I prefer to sip slowly. It’s my go to preference for a morning-early afternoon pipe; with or just after some good coffee! The majority of the reviews cover the characteristics; natural Virginia sweetness, orange peel, oats, fresh, clean, etc. I smoke VA, VAPer, slices, flakes, ribbons, as well as English/Scottish blend with varying amounts of Latakia. I don’t detect any Latakia jumping out, but that may be the goal here. Try it, you’ll like it

Laurel Heights
(IMHO)..Months later, after some aging, which may or may not has mattered. This is not a smoke for beginners or fast smokers..this is a very complex blend, a nose, throat and sinus tingler for sure..full of rubbery, toasty deep flavors of dark burned toast,.I do get the citrus, oddly unexpected at the end of the bowl, and even the enjoyable flavor of a good deep Virginia...In the can, it's dry and came packed full... Overall...I LIKE this one..but, it is not a smoke for newbies....be careful too, the nic in this one is very noticeable...
