Cornell & Diehl Maple Cavendish Pipe Tobacco

Smokes like a charm, 2nd half of bowl has nice cigar taste, I love it!

I a newly returned to pipe smoking and I'm sampling a variety of blends - particularly aromatics. I smoked this out of the bag in a freshly cleaned Medico billiard pipe. After a few initial relights it stayed well lit for most of the bowl. (for the bottom third I had to relight it more often). The taste was sweet and the maple flavour came through clearly. I am sensitive to tongue burn and this blend gave me absolutely no tongue burn. I smoked it down to the dottle. There was no excess moisture in the bowl and the room note was quite pleasant. So far, this is my absolute favorite blend.

This is my second review of this excellent tobacco as this is my second 16 Oz bag, having smoked the first 16ozs. Cool smoke, burns complete with little dottle. What little doddle I have had burned nicely with a relight. Quite mild and perfect tobacco for the beginning pipe smoker or a daily smoke. Highly recommended.

I am a pipe smoker who smokes a pipe about 4 to 5 times per week for the last five years, and use no other tobacco products. I used the product for at least two weeks before writing this review so that my pipes were cleared of the taste of my previous brand. This is a VERY cool smoke. I could not get it to bite and tried pretty hard to get it to drawing far harder than I ever would normally. It produced a very satisfying cloud of smoke that was most inoffensive to others around me. The taste was very mild, a bit too mild for my preference, but still satisfying. There was nearly no aftertaste and I could easily see this as a daily smoke for anyone who smokes more often than I.
