Captain black original
Like many of you, I have several English blends, Virginia‘s, and aromatic’s that are all quality. For me, I do not understand the snobbery, and hatred for this brand. It has been around forever, and it smokes just fine. Is it the best? Absolutely not. Is it terrible? Absolutely not, I think it’s a perfectly fine smoke, albeit, not a whole lot of taste or substance, but for an every day smoke or something you smoke on occasion, it does just fine.

Still my old standby
Maybe not what the pipe "experts" on YouTube talk about but the first tobacco I ever tried in 1979 when I was a teenager but I still like it even compared to brands that cost twice as much. It stays lit easily, doesn't burn too hot, has a great flavor and others in the room like its aroma. It remains my standard.

This stuff is great
No matter how many different tobaccos I try, I will always find myself craving some more Captain Black. The full flavor and thick smoke that are produced with this stuff is very satisfying. I search for this same experience in other aromatics but have not been successful in finding an alternative.

This cavendish blend has been popular to my knowledge at least 50 years. It is a mild smoke with a vanilla taste and smell. I rate it among my favorites.
