Ashton Smooth Sailing Pipe Tobacco

It is a good blend that is easy on the pallet that does overly linger.

I purchased this based on other reviews as I was in search of a tobacco reminiscent of chocolate to add to my rotation for the upcoming holidays. Everyone’s taste is subjective, of course, but I got no hint, much less taste, of chocolate at all from it. It also burned hot. I gave it about half an hour of drying time and smoked it in a Nordic 2016 edition hunter (zebra) pipe. The taste was ok but not nearly as good as several others in my collection so I won’t likely purchase this one again. With that said it might appeal to those with a greater appreciation of Virginias as it is a rather “Virginia forward” tobacco.

The pleasant flavor persists to the end without turning bitter. Smooth Sailing indeed as it agrees with my favorite beverages; coffee and whiskey.

Insanely mellow and incredibly enjoyable. I usually feel like I should be on the beach with a piña colada while I'm having a smoke. Ashton makes phenomenal tobacco.

I am not a fan of the aroma blends. I prefer the true smell of tobacco, but for a morning or first part of the day, I looked for something more delightful and smoothy. This example works for me pretty well. The coconut & kind of rum or alcohol notes are present there with no more than enough. And I tried other types of Ashton, this manufacture is at my top.

If you're looking for a delicious and aromatic tobacco that tastes just as great as it smells - look no further. Smooth sailing is a perfect smoke for kicking back on a dock at a bay and wasting time.

Tastes just like it smells. Delightful. A tiny bit of reluctance to get established, but I liked it a lot.

Smooth smoke you can enjoy and taste the maple coconut and dark chocolate will be buying more soon.
